I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy a good shopping trip. I am talking about the ones where you spend a few hours perusing the clearance and sale racks, and end up with a whole slew of stuff and spent barely a thang! These kinds of trips only happen when I get the opportunity to shop with either an equally thrifty girlfriend, or all alone. If you throw in my husband, or any of my children, that all goes out the window.
A couple of weeks ago, I had one of these glorious shopping experiences. Let’s take a look at the things that really excite me.
What if I told you that I bought a complete outfit that cost me a total of $14.10 from head to toe???? That is a sweater at $3.24, a pair of jeans at $3.74 , and a pair of loafers at $7.12! Yup! I DID THAT!!!!
What if I told you that I bought my son two pairs of school uniform shorts for $.44 a piece at Old Navy? Well… I did! These sorts of finds just make me giddy!
(I will be sure to share my other great finds in the future.)
I was able to breeze through JCP last week, which is currently having a massive clearance on all things fall/winter, and I feel like I made out like a bandit. I think I could have done a little more damage, but the Hubs was there, and after a little while, and him not finding what he was looking for, he was “over it”. With me being so, “no one item over a certain amount,” I find myself going back and forth over some things. I had a coupon, but was told that certain brand names would not be further discounted, so I had a “we’ll see” pile. We get up to the register, and as I was afraid of, the jeans that I really, really wanted, were over “MY” limit. If you all could have seen the look of horror on Damon’s face as I mulled things over in my head, you would have burst out in laughter. Mind you, there was a very long line, and he is not about the, “holding folks up in line for a price check”, life. He said, “Woman! Get those danggone jeans and come on!” These are some really good booty jeans, but I am still in angst about going over “MY” limit.
Anybody else have these problems? I can NOT be the only one. LOL!
$25 Challenge: Take $25 and see what you can do with it. See if you can get an entire outfit, or some other gem that is considered a STEAL! I would love to hear back on your finds. Just $25, now. Not a penny over.
