Seattle/Vancouver….

Me and this guy love to go ADVENTURIN’! Pretty sure that is not a word, but let’s just go with it. Some folks seem to think that vacations should all be tropical, but I say, “If you’ve seen one beach, you’ve seen them all.” Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of the warm weather vacation, that is just not something that I always have to have. We are on a mission to travel the country, and it is not all covered in water, sand, and palm trees.

Romans 12:10: Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

It’s so crazy. Damon and I were just talking about that fact that we always tend to go up north during the winter. What is up with that? I guess since we live in Texas, and we usually have all of the seasons in one week, we forget that other parts of the world actually get one season at a time…during the time it is actually supposed to be! Whod’ve thunk? ( Another word I just made up a spelling to!)

This particular Mama/Daddy trip was to Seattle & Vancouver on New Years week. We flew into Seattle, and stayed with our sweet friend Lisa, who gave us the Seattle rundown. It is rainy and pretty dreary there, and at the time, it got dark at like 4pm. With the time difference AND the early sunset, my first day there was soooo long and confusing. I didn’t know whether to eat lunch or dinner, go to bed or hang out. I was a hot mess!

Seattle’s Famous Pike’s Place Market. Even in all of the rain, this place was pumpin! The seafood is amazing ! My Lunch/Dinner did not dissappoint. LOL!

Anywhere in Canada has been on our “List” for quite some time. When we did our ritual map search, we realized that the border was only a 2 hour drive from Seattle, so we said, “Why not?” We spent the day and night in Vancouver, and as you can see from the above picture, our view was amazing! Right in the center of Downtown.

We explored, we ate, we talked, we strolled, we shopped, we did it all. Most importantly, we spent quality time together, and that was my absolute favorite part. I loves me some him.

A little about me... I am a married mother of 3 beautiful daughters and 1 handsome son. My husband Damon is my absolute best friend, and our love for the Lord is what keeps me going on a day to day basis. I pray that my little contribution to the world wide web will be something that could possibly inspire you to do something different, live your best life, and not just talk about it, but BE about it!
