Hey there, Friends! I have decided that I am going to adopt a Friday ritual for the things that have made me happy in the past week. So, lets kick it off…
#1. This little girl right here! I don’t want to jinx it, but we have been having good behavior at school, and it looks like we may be turning a corner. She is a great helper and is super sweet, we’ve just got a few things to work on. #mygirldrew #cuteasabutton. This has REALLY been making me happy this week…
2. My Sweet Mother-in-Law. She gave us quite the scare a couple of months back, and had to be hospitalized. It caused us to sit and reevaluate a few things, which was definitely in God’s plan. My sweet husband was vigilante in tearing up the highway to check in on her, and during this last visit earlier this week, the report was GLOWING! Ms. Marcia is back with us in full force. #Onlythewaymarciacan.
Now, its time to Party! This has made me ECSTATIC this week!
3. My Little Scholar. It is no secret that we have had some academic struggles with Miss Sassafrass since her early beginnings, but this current school year is showing us something quite a bit different. This is a girl, who used to have us both in tears trying to get homework done, is now an A/B student, and will come right home, get her chores done, and park herself right at the dining room table and get to WERK! Reading was where we really struggled, and you will hear her in there, eyeballs deep in a Junie B. Jones book. I LOVE IT! We have come a long way. #getitkori This bursts my Mama heart this week!
So, this is my first Friday installment of “What’s Making me Happy This Week”!
Is there something that has you smiling from ear to ear? Something that you have a praise report about? Something that has you full of joy? I’d love to hear about it.
Psalm 37:4-14 4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: 6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. 8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. 9 For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. 10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. 11 But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity. 12The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; 13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. 14 The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.
Get out and live your “Blessed” Life this weekend. I know I will!
